The Inaugaration of the 44th President

Barack Obama was inaugarated yesterday! There were many Americans at Washington D.C. to witness the moment of history. Sadly, i was not there. (By the way, I am an American born Chinese (ABC)) Why was it so important? It was because the 43th president, George Bush did not govren America well. America is in a mess. Economy crisis, war in Iraq, Afghanistan and many other problems. The Americans hope that Obama will change new policies and transform America.

Personally, I think that Obama is charismatic and would win more people's votes if joined the Republicans. America is a christian state so many conservative ones would vote for the Republicans. Why? That is because of the different beliefs of the 2 parties. The Democrats agree with the issue of homosexuality. Many christians do not encourage or are against that. Me too. That is why if I have the vote next time, I would definitely vote for the Republicans. However, last year was different I do not really support mcCain. He is too old and Sarah Palin, his vice-presidential candidate was inexperienced if he fell ill or anything that happened to him. Obama is too young. Even mcCain is a quarter of a century older than him. In conclusion, Obama's inaugaration should be something to be happy of and what is over is over. Have a Happy Chinese New Year!

I refer to this article above. (There is still another article I have found yesterday but I cannot find it today. I will fill you with the information.) In my opinion, the attacker, Ong Kah Chua, should not have attacked the member of parliament just because he could not get the SGD$200 hong bao from the government. I think he is very selfish and does not think of the ones around him who are more needy than him. On top of that, the minister needs to undergo operation and cannot even talk. How can he listen to the resident's voices in future?

A member of the parliament is to listen to the residents suggestions and feedback, but may not definitely act on them as some of the suggestions may not be realistic. Hence Mr. Seng's attacker should not have hurt him. Some people may say that the alleged attacker is a mental patient. More the less, he should control his emotions, and seek help from the grassroot leaders. I think that they would be more than happy to attend to him.
